Andrew Fay has enjoyed a 35-year career in the financial services industry, including 20 plus years working in the family office market.
Andy was part of the hand-selected team that launched the family office business for Fidelity Investments. Over an 18-year period, Andy designed and built the relationship management function, managed and expanded the business development team, and was head of the Fidelity Family Office Services Group.
During his tenure at Fidelity, he worked with hundreds of families seeking a clearer, more efficient, business-oriented path toward achieving their goals and solving their greatest pain points.
After retiring from Fidelity in 2021, Andy joined the RMR Group as Head of Capital Markets to establish a new private capital program. In January of 2023, Andy relocated to Chatham, MA, where he and his family had vacationed for more than 30 years. 1712 Consulting was founded.

Early in his career, Andy held roles at Bank Boston, FleetBoston Securities Corp., and Manufacturers Hanover Trust as a commercial lender, investment banker, and trading desk manager. Andy serves as an advisory board member of the UHNW Institute and Waldron Wealth Management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in government and French with a minor in economics from Bowdoin College and is a certified investment management analyst (CIMAR).
Andy enjoys sports of all types, travel, endurance challenges, and loving life on Cape Cod.
